Heads up Patriots!
This is what Alex Padilla (CA Senator) is up to.... Ask yourself why are they pushing Unions... oh yeah!!!! The Dems control the Unions!!! Be aware!!!
Thank you for writing to share your concerns about the “Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act” (S. 420). I appreciate hearing from you.
I am a strong supporter and cosponsor of the “Pro Act.” Introduced by Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), the “Pro Act” aims to expand labor protections relating to employees’ rights to organize and collectively bargain in the workplace. It would punish violations of workers’ rights as well as strengthen workers’ capacity to join together and negotiate for better working conditions. The bill is currently awaiting consideration in the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pension, of which I am not a member.
I believe unions are the cornerstone of the middle class. They have been at the forefront of the fights for the 40-hour work week, weekends, paid sick leave, and countless other benefits. However, since the 1970s, union membership has declined by more than 50 percent. It’s no surprise that since then, wages for the bottom 90 percent of working families have remained stagnant while the richest one percent have increased their wealth by nearly 200 percent, according to a 2019 study from the University of California, Berkeley.
While we may disagree on this issue, I hope you will continue to contact me about issues of concern to you.
Once again, thank you for writing. Should you have any other questions or comments, please call my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 224-3553 or visit my website at padilla.senate.gov. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter, and you can sign up for my email newsletter at padilla.senate.gov.

United States Senator
Every year on the Fourth of July, we gather for cookouts, fireworks, parades, and family celebrations.
And we should.
America’s birthday is worth celebrating.
But somewhere between the burgers and the fireworks, it’s important to remember what we’re actually celebrating.
Freedom.
Not comfort.
Not convenience.
Freedom.
The freedom to speak our minds.
The freedom to worship as we choose.
The freedom to build a life according to our own values.
The freedom to disagree.
The freedom to dream.
The freedom to fail and try again.
None of those freedoms happened by accident.
And none of them came without sacrifice.
Generations of Americans have served, fought, worked, struggled, and sacrificed to preserve the liberties we often take for granted.
Some paid with years of their lives.
Some paid with their health.
Some paid the ultimate price.
That’s why I believe Independence Day should be more than a party.
It should also be a reminder.
Because freedom isn’t something you inherit and forget about.
It’s something you protect.
Something you value.
Something you refuse...
We all know why the democrats won't be voting for this act! That would mean they would vote themselves out of money, power and a job! None of them could ever make the money they are stealing from the American tax payers. Most of them are not smart enough to land a legit job!!! The truth hurts!
